Blue Canopy is the moniker of Portland-based multi-instrumentalist, Alex Schiff. Schiff combines versatile songwriting chops and exuberant melodies to convey nostalgia as a force to move forward. Expertly weaving dream pop, psychedelic guitar passages and expansive electronic soundscapes, his output is beautifully introspective.
Formerly the keyboardist and co-writer for indie band, Modern Rivals, Alex has shared the stage with bands such as Odesza and Ra Ra Riot. He has released two EPs, “Mild Anxiety” and “Sleep While You Can” featuring additional instrumentation and co-production from Patrick J. Smith (A Beacon School).
